Writing
In 2021, I left science to pursue creative endeavors. Since then, I have followed my passion for writing fiction and nonfiction. I refuse to use AI tools in my writing. I am a flawed human who writes to connect and celebrate the human condition with others. To struggle and grow, is to live.
Art Journey
In 2024, I challenged myself to learn acrylic painting through experimentation by creating one weekly painting for the year. Since then, I have fallen in love with painting and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I sincerely hope my work moves and inspires others.
Improv Theater
Over twenty years of stage experience, creator and director of Werewolf (Seasons 1-3), This Oklahoma Life, and The Mad Improv Lab Show at OKC Improv.
Scientific Interests
I am a microbial ecologist investigating questions in soil microbiology, plant-microbe interactions, and microbial impacts on climate change.
